On September 12, we visited the beautiful village of Burgundy and Fontenay Abbey and on next day, we visited Cote d'Or, Beaune.

10 Generally the church has a lot of statues and stained glass in the church.
Paper was transmitted to Europe it is 13 century. Most people did not read the characters.
People lerned the Bible by stained glass and statues of the church.
However, there is almost no statue in this Fontenay Abbey. Stained Glass is also a simple pattern.
Monks were the highest educated persons. So there is no need of enlightenment by statue and stained glass.
